89 hatch with sr fuel prob.

i got a 89 hatch with a redtop sr20det swap and it was auto and we converted it to man. we wired up the engine bay harness and the int. harness and she ran fine. we went to start it up few days later and it acted like it was running out of gas. so we check and it had gas in it. so we tried it again and it just knocked and bucked. now the fuel pump is not coming on when the key is turnned. we checked the fuel pump fuse in the motor bay and it is getting power but the connector or plug at the fuel pump in the rear hatch has no power!!!
