I've got a friend with an 89 D21 and it has an electrical gremlin in the illumination system. I like to tackle these with service manuals in hand, but I can't find one online. Anyone got a heads up on where to download one? Thanks!

If you have a large regional library you can use their mitchell repair manuals to find the wiring diagrams your looking for. Most of the online service manuals are for the later model pickups obd2 and some changes were made but I am not positive if they changed alot on the chasis diagrams.

Late model FSM's can be found at phatg20.net. peace.

I refuse to use mitchell/chilton/haynes manuals beyond simple maintenance. I prefer factory manuals for electronic issues.

Thankfully, a friend of mine happened to have the manual sitting on his manual shelf, so problem solved.

I still use my old Haynes manual for my 1988 /D21 with Z24. I much prefer the haynes manuals to anything from Chilton or anybody else. In my experience the chilton manuals are inacurate, badly written and full of wrong information and i no longer use them. You can find one of the haynes manuals at amazon under the used books
