I just got a 93ish, (maybe 91) front bumper, you know... the rounded kind? anyways... I was wondering is it just a simple swap from the 89 to the 91-94 bumper, also is it an acceptable mod? I think it looks good, and since my car is in paint right now, I'd like to know whether or not its a good idea to do this...

Yeah it is. I'm trying to remember if you need the fenders and plastic pieces too or not. I'm thinking no you don't, but not positive on that.

You will need the plastic pieces that go on the fenders for the wholes to line up, or just the whole fenders. Or...you might just be able to drill new holes if ya want. :)

I did that a while ago. You'll need those two pieces for the fenders. The little brackets that hold the rubber squeegee like things for your hood and headlights will have to be bent a little to fit the 91+ contours if you don't get that as part of your new bumper. The bracket that holds your bumper to the fenders will also need a new hole drilled on each side to accomodate for the fitting of thta 91+ bumper to the existing holes on your 89-90 bumper.

For the record.. This does not fit along the lower fenders! The fenders are about 1/4 inch too narow. We Shoud have checked the fit befor painting ... trusting the forum was a mistake as we now have a $6000 paint job with a front end conversion that does not fit! Will probablly go back the Pig nose... fortunatley I had that bumper painted as well...

If you think something will work but have never actually done it be sure to let the person you are advising that it is your opinion not a fact
