im considering a 240sx but when i looked at a few today (all fastbacks) there is no leg room what so ever in the back... now i was wondering if the coupe is the same way or if it has a little more room to it?

thx

nope. It's a four-seater in name only.

there is no like internal volume differance? cause when i looked at a fastback today the front seats touched the backseats, then when i looked at the coupe it seemed like there was more space there

well I had a Silvia and the wife had a 180Sx and both car's back seats were indicative of devices used during the Spanish Inquisition to procure confessions.

Coupe & Fastback have the same dimensions except the fastback has more trunk cargo capacity.

lighter and stiffer then a fast back. i just drove 4 hours to get my 1990 coupe yesterday and i might take my sr20det out of my fastback and put it in my coupe.

Well coupes are a little harder to find. Lack of options may influence your decision.

What do you plan to do to it?

If its and SR swap, tell me now. Because you might rethink it.

What i mean is, if you are going to swap from an auto to manual SR, you are going to need a quite a few parts. Some are hard to find.

I wish i bought my car with an manual already in it. Would have saved alot of trouble.

just wanted to throw something in, a "4 seater" has lower insurance than a "2 seater," hence the back seats in our cars, preludes, etc. that being said, im 5'10'', 2 of my friends are about the same, and my best friend is like 6'2'', we drove 30 miles and while it didn't have the passenger leg room of a q45, none of us felt that it was that bad, i have a hatchback by the way.

when i first saw it the back seat was all the way back, that why i though it was small... but there is a nice amount of room back there, and as long as i am driving i should have to worry about room :)

I will always contend that the coupe is a much more agressive looking and all around cooler car. Not to knock the hatch but my preference is indeed the coupe. Just has a neater stance. Congrats on the Hatch purchase. The hauling capacity is the best thing about the hatch. You can't haul anything in the coupe. :(

skiped over alot of the thread. its true taht the coupe is more ridgid, but the fastback is swept at much less than 15degrees. Making the entire car ack like a 'wing' making it more stable at speed.

OH now you tell me! ;) Thanks for the help, but I already spent all my time sourcing the correct parts. I wish this thread was started about 4 months ago. :(
