89-90 tach with rb25

I hear that the 89-90 240sx's tach will not work with the sr engine because it is a SOCH tach. Is this ture? If so does the stock tach work with the RB 25? Any way to make it work?

No the stock tach wont work with the Rb25 because the Rb25 is a 6 cylinder. I think someone on the board has been working on a conversion box for the speedo and tach. You can always just use the RB25 gauge cluster.

WE have the speedo boxes for the stock gauges for sale. The tack boxes will be done soon, however it is set up for the 91 and up tack...
