89-90 models; clock lights on; is that normal?

since i installed a replacement cd player, i noticed that the clock lights up when i turn the key to on & when i run the engine...stays on when i turn the parking/head lights off...

is that normal?

Very normal. My 89 hatch has done that since day one

thanx.. i just never noticed that it stays lit up... it never did when i 1st purchased the car in '96- yanked out the viper car alarm in the summer

recently installed this 3rd headunit on new years eve & it finally lights up!

plus, i got a fuse tap on the audio fuse & some other fuse from the previous owner's car phone system. the fuse holder on 1 side seems worn & had to recheck my stereo wiring connections 3x until i found that this fuse tap had loosened the holder, simulating an open circuit (gah!)
