89-90 gauge cluster into 91-94?

I know a sohc hud cant be used in a dohc....but what about just regular analog gauges. My hud went out so im replacing it with regular gauges for the time being. My friend has a 90 gauge cluster but i need to know if it will work in my 91 or if i need a dohc gauge cluster?

The soch tachometer reads a lower level signal so it will not even see the signal from the dohc motor. You could swap in the sohc cluster but replace the tach from a dohc, or in my opinion, just get a dohc cluster. Many could be found on the NICO classifieds and ebay.
