The write up I have is for 91+ which is as follows:

1. Cut and strip the cruise control switch wires.2. Cut and strip only the Green/Orange and Green/Yellow harness wires (leave the Green/White wire connected - the horn needs it!)3. Connect the White switch wire to the Green/Orange harness wire4. Connect the Green switch wire to the Green/Yellow harness wire5. Tap the Green/White harness wire and connect it to the yellow switch wire.

However, on the harness side the white/green-orange-yellow wires are there. However on an 89-90 the wires coming from the button are red blue and yellow. I'm thinking yellow is the same, but which is which for the red and blue?

thanks,

I think my problem is elsewhere. I switched over the button and no go. The cruise button light comes on as it always did but I can't get it to engage. And it's not the clutch pedal trick either.

I swapped the 2 wires around both ways and neither worked. Hopefully someone whose done this on a 89-90 chimes in soon.

no help? Someone must have upgraded a steering wheel and moved their buttons before...

If it's vacuum controlled I would think they're hot swappable.

I am trying to figure out the same thing also but my problem right now is finding where the wiring harnesses plug into each other. I forgot where they came from. Anyone that has CC take a picture of where the wiring harnesses from the CC Button Pod plugs into. Any picutres would be great!!!

I just need one picture of where you spliced together cruise control wires or where the wiring harnesses connect to. Any help appreciated.
