89-90 and 91-94 bumper supports same?

Had a little mishap with the old '93 vert this weekend. A fender-bender left a nice hickey on the right front side. The external damage was minimal (broken headlight, parking light, minor dent in the 1/4 panel, few scuffs... but the hidden damage underneath was a tad more impressive. My question is, is the large metal bumper support (under the flexible nose skin) the same between the 89-90 240's and the later 91-94's? My local junkyard has a decent supply of 89-90's but no 91-94's, and before I go scavenging parts today I want to make sure I am getting a support that will work. it really does look the same, minus the bent part. As far as actually knowing if they are or not Im not sure. But, I havnt had a front cover on for about two weeks now and everytime I get anywhere near my car I get to stare at that bumper, except mines red and not bent

they're slightly different. reason i know is cuz of the foam that's supposed to go between the bumper and cover. I tried using a 89-90 bumper support with a 91+ cover and 91+ foam...didn't fit.

Well, I'm not sure why it didnt work for yours, being that we did the same thing, and mine came out almost perfect. The metal bumper support is slightly different like you said, being my '93 had a protrusion on the end that the '89 I got out of the junkyard yesterday (a few hours after I wrote my original post) didnt have, but I used my '93 foam, '93 bumper cover, and the junkyard '89 bumper support, worked most of the afternoon yesterday reinstalling the 1/4 panels and front end and today you cant tell it was ever in a wreck (minus a few minor scuffs on the bumper cover I havent had time to buff out yet) and its a solid as it ever was (before the wreck). Maybe the '91's different from the '93's underneath.........?

Oh well, to answer my own question, in my case at least, it worked fine.
