the "carrier" is the LSD unit itsels, if you get the 87.5-89 300ZXT donor complete in it's housing you'll get the 3.7:1 gearset as well, not sure what ratir the 2+2 came with, in any case if you want to keep your stock ratio you take the carier out of the turbo donor and apply your ring gear and put it in your case and set your backlash
if you buy a cusco, quiafe, powerbrute or some other aftermarket carier, you get just the carier in which case you'll need to put your ring gear on it and put it in your diff case and set you backlash and off you go
the one vairable I see is if you get a VLSD from a 88SS or a 240SX, t you then need the output shafts and halfshafts from the 88SS
