I have an 89 300zx. A couple days ago, my power window on the drivers side quit working. However, the passenger window works fine. This morning when it was cold, the window magically rolled down. Later in the day when it was sunny and warmer, the window wouldn't roll down again. If I push the button to roll the window down , it makes a light clicking noise. I'm not sure if the weather has something to do with it, or if my car likes to jerk me around, but I'd really like to know the possibilites of what might be wrong and how to fix it.

I just went through the same thing. My 95 240sx has an AMP module that could have been the culprit but wasnt. Like mine...yours is almost positively the window motor. I dont know how hard it will be to get to your motor to repair, mine was pretty easy. If you cant find a direct 300zx replacement motor on the forum try replacing with a junk yard motor from another Nissan. Chances are you will have to swap the regulator gearing to the "new" motor, in my case it worked like a charm. I suggest you find a Maxima and snatch the left passenger motor(lower useage). Good Luck. Post your results.
