89 240sx whirring or snoring sound when revving

This is my 89 240sx and i just noticed this sound when driving on my way back from school. I was shifting gears when i started hearing this whirring sound or snoring-like sound. I thought at first it could be my throwout bearing but it doesnt make this noise when pushing clutch in or out. Simlly when revving the car even in neutral. Can it be my muffler? I can't notice any cracks upon inspection but if it is my muffler, gives me another reason to just get a catback . Any help would be appreciated

Yeah that sounds like a muffler or some other type of exhaust leak. You should be able to remove the muffler/exhaust and repeat the test to verify.
