Ok, this might be a stupid question but i have to ask because im still learning about these cars. the body kits say they fit 89-94 does that mean that the 89 - 94 models are going to look exactly the same if they have the same body kit on? just curious cuase i know stock they look real different and honestly i'd rather have around a 92 but a friend found an 89 240sx hatch 5spd that runs for me for 500 bucks (will post pictures of the car as soon as i get them from my friend.)

I believe the only external difference between the 89-90 model and the 91-94 model is the nose. If the front is replaced by the kit I assume they would look the same. Some people with pignose (89-90) upgrade to a 91-94 front bumper without problems.

Some random, useless, spamming info from me... It is actually the same speedo unit, just in 89-90 they put the lables "on the 5s" (15-25-35 etc) and in 91 and after it was labeled in 10s.

as long as it is rust, major damage free, that is definatly worth $500. 240s are selling really high these days and it isn't unusual to see a decent shell with a blown engine sell for $500. I can't tell if that front right is damaged or it is just a reflection, but I think a good coat of paint would make that car look great!

from what i am told there is no rust (except for maybe under the stock spoiler which is common but my friend said he coudlnt see any starting unless its directly under the spoiler) the body does have dents and dings which would need work. that is why i was asking if it is worth 500 becuase if he cant get it he said he would let me know.

your friend is right, the spoiler rust is common, and most people don't worry too much about it until they have problems (spoiler falls off/water leaks into trunk). It depends then on how bad it is dinged, I would take it by a few repair shops and get some estimates. I bought my car with a few dings, and they didn't bother me enough to spend money to fix them, but it all depends on how good you want it to look and how much your willing to spend. If the frame is good, no accident damage etc, I would buy it.

the cars on ebay didnt pan out... i didnt have the money and my dad said he would sign for a loan but i decided i didnt want it bad enough for a loan since i have a 69' chevelle in the body shop right now and i can drive that while i save once its out.

Plans for the future? if i get the car yes... big plans... but who wants to ruin the surprise? you'll see the plans and pics of the plans unfolding as they do if i get the car.
