89 240sx sohc speedometer

car sat for 8 years. The speedometer doesn't work, replaced spped sensor and it still doesn't work. What is the most common problem here?

try replacing the speedometer itself.

Was the Spd sensor you replaced it with brand new? 89-90's are notorious for having bad spd sensors. If it was brand new, replace the entire gauge cluster.

thread jack I have a 89 sohc digital speedometer and it turns on and off whenever it wants what could that be?
