89 240SX SOHC --> DOHC (won't start?)

Hey, I just swapped in a ('92) DOHC into my 89 shell ... the wiring and everything is hooked up and its ready to go .... I've got both spark, and fuel .... but it just turns over, but doesn't start? .... please any thoughts? I've been waiting on this damn thing for 6 months now and I just don't know what it could be? ... all grounds seem to be good? anyways any info would be much appreciated, thanks!

If you have spark & fuel... the only thing left should be timing.

Was the dohc running before you swapped over, or did you replace the timing chain etc?

it was supposed to have been running, but it was supposed to be a "perfectly working engine" but ... a lot of stuff went wrong, but it did come down to timing, thanks for your help. I can FINALLY enjoy the 240 over my q-ship, yay.

How difficult was the swap for you? I'm 89 sohc coupe right now, but I got a good line up on a 92 dohc engine for a swap maybe. Just asking , cause I may do it myself.
