I recently had my alternator replaced, and the washer/wiper and mirrors worked before I had the alt replaced. I pulled the 10 amp fuse from the kick panel and replaced it with a new one (it was blown like I thought) however those things still do not work. Am I missing a fuse under the hood that should be replaced?

Did you check to see if the fuse was blown again?

it's grounding out somewhere. Start your search with a multimeter.

Ok this is going to sound dumb, but I have very little experince with anything electrical. Could you give me maybe some ideas where to begin? I have a multimeter is there some more genral grounding points to check than others? Im a electrical n00b.

Has anyone figured out why this happens? Both of my SE's have this problem! I know that my wiper and mirrors work. When I got the car, both of these didn't work. I ripped out a random cluster of useless wires, and it worked after that for like 2 days. Then just as suddenly as it started working, it stopped.

Also, my regular wipers don't work on the lowest setting. I have already replaced the switch, and it still does it. I feel really weird bringing up an old thread like this, but this stuff bothers me! I'm in the midst of anothr car project involving spray paint, so I guess trying to figure this out is a bit more interesting than watching paint dry! LOL I know a little bit of electrical stuff, but I'm not really into multimeters or anything like that.
