89 240sx rear coupe seatbelts - how are they suppose to "latch"?

How am I suppose to latch the rear shoulder belt to the lap belt? I put it in the only hole I found right behind the clicker thing, but it is still not satisfactory.

Is there a specific way to do this? or is there a better upgrade (a single piece shoulder/lap combo like the hatch - which doesn't fit into the coupe unfortunately)?

it does go behind the lap belt buckle. there is a hole, you put that pin in it. they are really bad, im not arguing that fact.
