*******STOCK KA24E************

Hey all, I am STILL trying to troubleshoot a BAD hesitation issue with my car. Someone mentioned that the CTS is a common part that fails and that it could be causing my bogging issue with my 89 240SE hatch. He also said that it is a cheap item to replace.

With that said, where is this part located?? How do i change it?? I searched and could not find the answer.

I plan to change my alternator this weekend too so I would like to get both of these parts changed this weekend.

Thanks,

Andy

clean the terminals of the connector with some electrical parts cleaner while your at it. that is also a very common problem.

l.

Ok.

So I don't have to worry about coolant leaking out when I disconnect the sensor??

I am going to be replacing it tomorrow.

dont change it when the coolant is hot, that would result in serious burns to the hands and face. (im sure you know this but just incase)

also, dont tighten it too much, wrench tight is fine but dont put all your power into it, remember that the manifold is alluminum.

a little coolant may leak, thats fine. just refill and bleed if too much comes out.

I changed the sensor. Well, it didn't fix my hesitation issue.

I am changing the alternator next.

my car is running a little rich... when I'm in 2nd and let off the gas it makes tiny little pops and little backfires. I drove it around today and it hesitates a little, the power feels uneven like something's holding it back from going smooth. Why R U changing your alternator next Prelude Guy? I'm still troubleshooting my 24E.
