89 240sx headlights go up but not down. help....

replaced the headlight switch and called myself checking the fuses. the lights will come up when you press the headlight switch and turn the lights on. if I manually turn them down they stay down. Any help will be appreciated.

your headlight motor is dead

oor, maybe, the button on the left of the steering wheel was pushed down, keeping your headlights in the "up" position.

i keep mine's depressed this past winter, so i don't worry about my headlights freezing shut when i need to drive

i've read that from another member who "DOH" it was that simple.

which headlight switch did you replace? the one of the steering column, or the one on the cluster surround? if you havent replaced the one on the column, replace it. thats most likely your culprit.
