well i have ran into a problem with my car... im currently running kyb struts eiboch sportline springs have 17x8 rims with 215/40/17 tires on them... well i just put new tires on my car because it needed some on the front... its been around a month and the whole inside of the tire is wore down... i really dont understand how this has happend... car isnt really lowerd at all and drives straight... is it possable that the front tires rub the strut housing when i get it in a slide or a hard turn? any ideas will be appriciated.. im pretty broke right now living off unemployment sux... just figured i would ask. i have done alot of research on this problem everything points to camber but my cars not really lowerd would a bad ie rod end cause this because i think my drivers side one is going bad

now when you say "inside" tire, are you talking about the sidewall?

Get off the computer, start your car, turn the wheel, and see if it's touching anything...

if this didn't happen before, its probably because the sidewalls on your new tires are probably beefier than your old ones? different tires have different profiles.

It's probably your alignment. If you did not align your car after you lowered it, your alignment is off. When you change one part of the suspension geometry, you effect all alignment specs.I am sure an alignment is cheaper than replacing your tires every couple of months...

yea im gonna take it to my local shop they charge 15 to inspect it and tell me if an alignment will fix it... do 240's get negative camber on the front if so how can i fix it? have to by another set of struts and coilovers?

wait... WHAT part of the tire is wearing? tread or sidewall?

I agree with cone junky, getting an alignment may help, or at least the tech can see whats touching underneath...

but if its your sidewall thats wearing out, its cuz its rubbing on something. I doubt you'd have that much negative camber that your inner sidewalls wearing out.

definitely a camber/ toe issue (mostly toe). An alignment would correct that. If you do want to correct your camber, they have camber bolts for struts.

This whole time I thought you meant sidewall...

they're pretty cheap, probably less than $20... I don't really remember though.

they look like this

camber plates are gonna be expensive. I doubt you want to go in that direction, and you really don't... but if you do, honestly, I'd just save up for coilovers that come with them. THe reason why they come on coilovers is because once you pass that certain height, camber bolts aren't effective enough to get the desired camber.
