Anyone know what I can do to fix a leaky sunroof on the 89 240sx coupe?

A little water seems to be getting in (parked on driveway - slightly slanted up - accumulates water in area where sunroof slides into - spills on you when you reverse out of driveway).

Is there like a simple gasket or something I can get?

Thanks

no, the sunroof has many seals and things that like to mess up. the drains in the corners are supposed to drain all water out instead of accumulating it. i have seen a guy run draino through his sunroof to unclog the drains. really, i am not good with water leaks. we sublet our water leaks to the water doctor and he does a great job for cheap.

if its the manual sun roof, i took the handle system off and put a couple washers on under it so it would clamp down on the seal harder. it was a little tougher to close and open but it kept most of the leaks out... that draino idea sounds like it might work. I think I'll give it a try too.

THanks for the reply guys.

It's an auto sunroof, but I'll try your idea w/ maybe just 1 washer on each side and the drano.

Never knew there was a drain, always thought it was just sealed ultra tite, haha.

THANKS!

You just saved me about $100 worth of weather stripping (for now) .
