89 240sx 5spd blowing fuelpump fuse constantly. Help

I've searched the archives and couldn't find much at first - I'll continue searching.

89 240sx, fuel pump went bad or so we thought. Turns out with a new pump it blows the fuse. as does the old pump.

Wired the pump to the parking lights and it then blows that fuse as well after some driving.

What else to check?
