IBTL! ok, so maybe this thread wont be locked...but still, i dont think it'll fit without some pretty major modification. the bodies are quite different. ever seen a gutted 300 next to a gutted 240? big difference. 300 is way wider.

im sure you can do it if you have mad body skillz. can you weld, do body work, and paint? if so your good to go. remember the z32 is wider in every aspect than the s13.

I appoligize for my intial reaction to your question.

That is a serious Jesse James monster garage type idea. The Biggest problem I could see if you did something like this is being able to drive the car. The steerablity of the car would be horrible due to the chassis posture of the car. The Z's suspention allows the car to sit much lower to the ground where as the 240 is significantly higher. Thats aside from the width issue that was mentioned. The fabrication work that would be needed would take a bit of ingenuis to make the 2 vehicles mate allowing the car to even be steerable. If you takle this you wil be pioneering this all on your own as this is not something that has been done or probably even considered.

hmmm, that makes me wonder. were you looking at a whole z32 front clip or just the bumper cover?

i was looking at the front clip i never thought of the width or stering issues but what if i were to take the differance of the width out of the middle of the 300zx front clip and seam it together think it might work out or i should just stick withs the regular look

Not saying this isnt possible but it is a crazy yet original idea. I am not personally a fan of the idea. If you could precisely split the Z clip down the middle buy sectioning it at 2 points you could reseam it but would have to add bracing across the seam as that is now a weak point in the assembly. You would also have to use a different P/S rack as the Z's would now be to long. This would require fabrication of rack mounts. If you were planing on useing the Z33 engine you would not be able to after sectioning the front clip as the width in the engine bay would be to narrow for it. This would require fabricating a different plentium since that is the only place I can thing of at the moment that would have the width clearance issues. You also need to thing of the platfrom posture[the higth difference of the Z32 clip versus the chassis height of the S13 or 14] You would need to find a way for the low points of the Z32 clip to meet equally to the s13 14 chassis low points since the z32 is lower. Since both vehicles are unibody this will take much R&D before actually cutting/forming the parts so as not to turn them into waste. There is much more to consider beyond just this too.

What is it you looking to do exactly? Gain the physical appearance of the Z32/S13 14 half breed? gain the power hose of the Z32 to add to the S13 14? Which is it your after?

You could obtain the look with out changing the whole front clip. just use the fenders hood and bumpers. some moding fabrication would still be needed but not to the extent it would with doing the entire front clip. You would have to split the bumper and hood precisely down the middle and reweld and bond them back together. you would have a narrower looking z32 in the end. you would likely have to do a little cutting and fabing where the fenders meet the doors and a pilar.

The head lights are slightly deeper then the 240s lights. So you would have to modify the radiator support or cut into the bumper to allow the space. as well as cut a portion of you hood toward the center to allow the width.

I also dont care for the pop-ups and will loose them eventually. I have a couple ideas but they are invented idea and not existing lights on any other car. If I figure one out I will post a how to for those who like it when done.
