About a week ago I was driving at night, and the tail-lamp fuse blew on me, which includes the tail lights and dash lights. The fuse blows right when you turn the switch, and I've tried both a 15 and 20 amp fuse. I did try to change out the light switch, and it worked for a day, then it blew again. I also tried it without having any of the tail light bulbs in and it still blew. Any advice would be helpful, thanks in advance.

I did also search and try a new gauge cluster, which didn't do the trick, my only other thought was to check the wires going from the switch to the fuse box. Does anyone have a diagram of that harness?

First question...did you just install a new stereo into your car...if you did pull it back out and make sure that none of the wires are bare or grounded out...this was my problem....Next question... did you plug the wires on the back of your cluster in correctly...the two outside wires can be put into each others spot...If this doesnt work, look at the little white box under the drivers side kick panel...it sits under where the fuses go to...open that box and check the board inside to make sure it isnt fried....If none of this works, try the search button. This seems to be a pretty decent problem in 240s, cause there is a lot of posts about it....good luck

Hmm, I will have to check the stereo thing, while I haven't put in a stereo, I did do a battery relocation a few weeks ago and ran the cable through there. What is that white box exactly? And thanks for the help! I will try that out.

Yeah I bet that some wire got crossed under there during the relocation...I just swapped dashes and the next night I drifted a little and pow lights gone....looked in there after about a month and 30 dollars worth of fuses....

that little white box controls a lot of the little functions in your cars cabin...mainly lights

Thanks a ton! I checked back behind the stereo after school, and found one bare wire bumped up against the metal. Got it taped up, and it works just perfect!
