so I swaped the engine out of the 89 with a 93 ka, it took me forever to even get it running. and now it will only runn with the MAF unplugged. & even then it wont go over 2500 rpm... I need some help on nailing the problem so I can get her to runn smoothly again.

btw don't make two threads for the same problem. 8 minutes apart tells me it wasn't a connection issue either.

yeah sry about the threads, I didnt think it got put online...but as far as the mafs problem, I bought a brand new one & it still didnt do any good, I was thinking that it might be the 93 wiring harness on the 89 shell. I just dont have the time or experience to trouble shoot.

it's probably the connector that's taken a crap on you. don't sweat it too much though, clean and tighten the female connectors on the plug to the harness and try again. if you've got the engine harness out too, you can also check for continuity to see if that's what's causing the problem.
