Is it possible to bypass the neutral safety switch? If so how... just take the two wires that go to the switch and connect them, or will it short something out. I went to "Pepboys" to get a wiring diagram of the transmission harness, so I do know the colors of the wires. P.S. I also work at "Autozone" Part Sales Managerno body can really give me a straight answer, very much appreciated.

Yeah, I think that would work alright. Unless it works the opposite way, where you'd just have to cut one of the wires so they never touch. Try that first, see if it works. If not, cut the other, strip, solder, etc, done.

What is the purpose of the neutral switch? And why do you want to bypass it? If you bypass the neutral switch you are sending a continuous signal to ecu that you are in neutral. The clutch interlock switch on the clutch pedal ensures the car does not start without clutch depressed.Normally, people are bypassing the interlock switch.I dont think the neutral swtich is for safety or preventing car from starting.

The OP is talking about the neutral switch on the transmission. Different from the clutch interlock switch on clutch pedal.
