First of all if you have to use cork do not use silicone sealer. This will cause the cork to push out and split at the bolt holes. I suggest going to the dealer and getting the factory gasket. It seals much better and goes on dry. The best way to flush your trans is with a on the car flusher such as B.G. products or others make. This flushes the whole trans. valve body and torque converter. Dropping the pan only gets 3-4 qts. Call around and see if any shops use similar machines. If the trans has alot of miles on it say 90,000 miles or over and has never had the fluid changed you might want to re-think messing with it. When flushed or fluid changed at high mileage the trans tends to start slipping but not in all cases, it's a gamble on high mileage vehicles.
