Yea, I don't know what happened but it stuck in third, I read thru some of the service manuel, but it said it could be fail safe. The transmission oil is clean, I hope its just some sensor, and nothing mechanical

What do you guys think?

what you wan to do to get it out of fail safe is take off both battery termonals and connect them togather for about five min. then put the POSITIVE back on FIRST!!! it worked for me but one guy not a tech. told me it could hurt somthing and another guy a tech told me to do this and voalla!! it worked post back it nothing changesi had this same problem a few days ago and noone knew what to do. also if you can leave them connected for a little longer to be safe and dont let them touch the other termanals while there connected remember + first k.good luck

What do you mean it's stuck in third...? Is the shifter physically stuck in third and won't move, or does the shifter move from gear to gear, but it won't shift past third?

If its stuck, then taking the the battery terminal off isn't going to do anything.

Its not physically stuck, as in something is blocking it. I can run the gear select thru the gears, but when I do drive it it feels like it doesn't shift thru the gears.
