Hey guys my z is having an issue with the window sticking half way up and grinding the gears. I noticed that the window has to be pulled up about 1-3mm and then it can go up all the way. ive removed the panle and messed around with a few things and also greased up the rails and guides but still nothing. is there a way to tighten the window itself to the rails or somthing? Like i said the widow can be pushed up a little and in doing so the window is nice and smooth going all the way up. also, the window has no problms going down at all.
thanx in advance.

Sounds like something isn't aligned or you have something stuck in the tracks. Take it all the way apart and look to see what's binding.

You might also have a bad gear set in the motor, so it really depends on which gears are grinding.

Thanx for the reply but i was able to figure it out last night. turns out that the guide on the glass at the front has way too much play on it and sags on the way up which explains why it has no proble coming down. i believe this is due to that seal located at the mirror/ triangle part at the front of the door is missing from my car. too bad they are NLA from nissan and no one that i know of still makes them. but i have gone through everything and cleaned and regreased the whole system so thays all i have left to do is order the new pieces from nissan as soon as i have the funds.
