Need some help locating the knock sensor on my 88 vg30et. Some say it is on the pass side of the block and others say it is in the valley under the intake manifold. Please help

passanger side fo the block IIRC, the VG30DETT had it in the valley under the intake manifold, the vg30et does not.

Thanks for the confirmation! I've heard that the knock sensor on the passenger side of the block is nearly useless so, part II of this question is whether or not the the valley is a better location?

How do you upload a photo on to this post?

Hey thanks for the techno help. I have attached a link to a photo my block with what I think is the knock sensor still attached. Do you agree?

When looking at your photo on photobucket, click share, then copy the "direct link" URL and put it in the [img] tags.

You're so right - so I had to add color to other parts of the motor for a little balance.
