Anyone buy Rotors from them and anyone got the PRB or what ever they are called brakes?

I was thinking of picking up a set (4 cross drilled/slotted) rotors and 4 PRB or something pads all for $210.

Are they Brembos? Brembo style off brand.

REVIEW? anyone?

i was gonna get rotors from them but never got around to ordering.

From what i researched though, the rotors are brembo blanks they just drill and slot and the PBR pads are the same as Axxiss brake pads and are pretty good.

just my .02 cents

They are/were a sponsor on Honda-Tech. I had watched their for sale thread for quite a while before I sold my Civic. From most of the comments I was seeing on that thread, they were selling Brembo blanks and remachined Brembo brakes.

One thing I did notice was that some people got their stuff shipped quick, but a lot of folks fell into a black hole where stuff took forever to ship out and they wouldn't respond to emails or phone calls. Vacations? I dunno, just figured I'd note it, since it was a recurring theme.

I have the full Z32 26mm Alum. upgrade.

So, yeah, the Rotors and brakes are X mas present that a friend is going to buy for me. =)1. X drilled slotted rotors and brakes

or. 2. Exedy oem clutch kit

or 3. Polk Audio speakers..

So I chose the Brakes kit.

I live about 15 minutes from them, so if these are shi77y or lagging, i'll just give them a visit.

Bah... Yeah, I still have pains every time I see a EH3 go past. As much as I like my Nissan, I still miss my Honda. I want another one bad.

To the OP... If your friend is going in to their shop in person, I doubt they'll be able to hide from him too well. You might be in luck.

Hmmm, I'm glad someone has started this topic. I have some extra Christmas $$ burning a hole in my pocket. I found 88 Rotors on Ebay and emailed the guy requesting a similar brake package. I wanted the Hawk pads, Brembo Blanks (not drilled or anything) and a set of Earl's ss lines. A guy named Ken replied stating they could accomidate me and the price was awesome. So, they left two phone number and a cel phone. I've called each number multiple times every day this week. Of about 12 plus phone calls, one was answered and immediately hung up on. The cell phone will let me leave a message so I did twice, but no return. So I emailed some more and no replies. I'm pretty upset because the price was so good I really want the brakes. I'm just concerned that there's something shady going on because no company should go with unanswered phones this long during holiday and present season. I googled them and found a video on you tube titled introduction, but they don't know what the definition of that word is because no body was introduced. Pretty dissappointing and borderline upsetting. Anyone know of some other good deal places for brake stuff?

That's a great deal on the Nismo Big brake kit! But I wanted front and rear. And I wasn't certain about bias with upgrading only the front so I thought to stick with stock with better compound. Did you install them and how do they feel during hard braking on straights and for shifting weight during turns or trail braking? But more on topic, who did you get them from, were they a good seller and do they do other brake stuff?

Yeah, the something that's going on with 88 Rotors is that nothing is going on!

good choice, going with the brake system... although i have heard that slotted rotors really arent all theat great for anything you drive on the street much... the slots shave away at your pads and create quite a bit more wear, from what i hear. You might be better off with crossdrilled rotors.

really? i know that there is a chance that crossdrilled rotors can crack at the holes, but other than that you'd have to explain why crossdrilled would be worse than slotted.

Eh, it all depends on how it's done. IMHO,for street, neither are necessary, but look kinda cool. Good and bad slots depend on depth, angle of slot, and whether they stop short of the edges of the rotors. Idealy, these are for scrubbing off the pads and serve to release some gasses. Drills depend on location, quantity, and whether or not the edges were reamed. Ideally these only release the gasses. All depend on initial quality of the blank rotor. Furthermore, some styles will work with brake pad materials better than others. I have a mostly street car and will buy Brembo Blanks and semi-metalics. If I could afford my track car, I'd get PowerSlot slotted and carbon kevlars.

crossdrilled can crack at teh holes of the rotor and also inducing cracking of the pads

Yeah, the problem with cross drilling on vented rotors is you can't really ream the inside surface, so rough edges in places that develop rust provide for weak points. I still wonder sometimes though because new Porsches, Vettes and some Bimmers come with them from the dealership! Maybe just for asthetics...

nice, a brake topic just in time for me to search around for brakes.

I'm looking for z32 brakes for my 240. It already has the 5 lug conversion and I want to keep the 300zx wheels I have on there now.

Anyone have any suggestions for non-slotted / drilled rotors that would improve braking performance? I like the idea of a 300-400$ price range. I'm looking for streetable brakes that would be an upgrade to the s14 ones I have on there now.

Where were you ordering this from, 88 rotors? That is a pretty good price if everything works out well.

I literally just got off the phone with 88 Rotors. John actually answered the phone! So I placed the previously mentioned order. In a week I will report back with details on delivery, accuracy and components. If it is all I hope it to be, or rather, all they claim it will be, then I'll be a happy camper. It was frustrating that it took three days worth of calls before I got an answer. But when they did finally answer, John was polite and competant. Furthermore, I was asking them for something they weren't advertising on EBay because all of those were drilled and slotted. So if you want something you don't see, call or email to ask for it. They may be able to accomidate. You might want to wait a week for me to see if they actually filled the order correctly.

Well I want Real Brembos slotted or x drilled. I know Brembo has slotted or X drilled, but Don't know if they have xdrilled and slotted together.

Well, I will have to drive to their shop, in Rosemead, CA which is about 15-20 mins from me.

Well, they better not be shady or i'll come down there and slam the Rotors on their table with vengence!

My Infinity Silvia won't rust, I am going to coat the underside soon.=)

NO, I haven't used the car for track yet, these rotors and brakes will be FREEEEEE so, might as well get some nice ones. This car has potential for track use, but I just don't want to waste tires and abuse the car.
