Hi I have two 88 pulsar CA18DE auto trans 4 speed the first one is put together. The motor has a new head on it but has not ran in over a year. It sounded pritty good the first time i got it started. 2ed time it was real ruff running It had a little raddle I think i have a piston not seated so i have put oil in the cylender. i have done it twice and it seamed to help the raddle each time I have done it . It is still running real ruff I have checked the code's and there was none. Does any body have any ideals of what to look at next Thank you for your help

ok that worked grate I fixed the vaccum leaks. It is running good i found out that the auto trans did not work so i pulled it. And cracked the case on the manual trans it was locked up the only thing i found in it it looked like a washer cut in 1/2 ian it was magnatised it was stuck in the yock. Ya that would lock it up. I looked for a place for this in the case and did not fined a place for it . Everthing looks good it this trans. Is there a place for this 1/2 moon thing in the trans or did some one drop it in there

thank you for your time RDNECKS

should sit some where near the larger gear. there should be a spot in the case for it. it is in there to collect metal debris as it wears from the gears. it should be some where close to the drain plug where there is a spot molded in the case for that to rest in.

only one gear can be engaged at a time. There are detents to prevent it from going into 2. if it is only in reverse. manually shift the rod back to the neutral position and set the cover back on and try to shift it. it should work ok.

Thats all if I understood what you were telling me.:)
