88 maxima problem

Hey folks,

we have an 88 maxima, it's automatic, the problem we're having is that when we're driving the car, we'll press on theaccelerator to speed up, the engine revs higher but the car will not go faster.

any ideas?

yup, shes a slippin. change the fluid and hope it doesnt get a whole lot worse afterwards.
