That looks like a full on drift to me. That guy has mad technique to bust all four wheels of a FF car loose like that. :ylsuper

i thought powersliding is stomping on the pedal to get the back to slide out. I also thought powersliding is a form of drifting.here are some references.

That does take a lot of talent to do that with a fwd honda, I have driven a friends FWD Escort GT, and I can't stand it. It was going hella slow through that string of turns, and I wouldn't call it a drift, but I guess thats the best FWD "drift i've seen. thanks for the link tho!

so tell me what does it take to "drift"? have you ever done one like the video? or better? cuz hmmm he is entering the apex at an angle and exiting at an angle. just becuase its a honda and most of everyone does not like them doesn't mean you have to be ignorant about it. Powersliding is a form of drift. like a begginners basic. And yes the honda is As$ dragging or drifting or powersliding or wutever you want to call it. to me, its a drift because he is ENTERING the apex at an angle and everything else a drift consist of. also he is using the technique of side-brake.

You never once answerd any of my questions and from what i read about your post, it seems like you don't really know anything about drifting. He is using the ebrake to lock the back up because he has major understeer. Plus it FWD, so yea fwd does use the e-brake to skid. But e-braking (like i said before) is called SIDE-BREAKING. A type of drift technique too. And you can go back to your "probetalk.com" and sell your 240 to get a probe. what do they know. their FORDs.

Good way to kill yer rear tires and the dude makes it look good, but personally i dont think draggin your backtires around as a drift, and thats all that right there is gonna be to me, draggin your backtires around a corner. Just my opinion though.

Hey guys...shut up. :pface

Powersliding is losing traction on all 4 wheels, not controlling it as much if any as a drift.

Drifitng is purposefully losing traction of the rear wheels and holding that position carefully to enter and exit a turn faster than gripping the turn.

If you knew anything, you'd know that a FWD car cannot perform a REAL drift because you lose SO much speed that it is worthless to do.

Thanks mister expert :rolleyes

These discussions on what is and is not drifting are so dumb. I challenge anybody to make what they concider a drift in any car to look as good as that, I guarentee none of you could come up with the goods, myself included.

Seriously, who cares?

FYI, drifting is probably the slowest way around a corner, next to going in reverse.

i don't. i know i couldn't pull anything off like that. i appluad you though for speaking out about "who cares." but i see there are a lot of new 240 owners out in this board now. i see a big "drift" fad too. so they think they know everything if they went to d1 or any other d-day.

Im not bashing drifting (I like doing it myself), but the whole idea is to have fun, not to see who is best or right.

It's Mister Sexpert.

Look if you know how to professionaly drift around a corner you can do it faster than gripping.

Why does everyone have to get so uptight about these opinions? (Don't answer that)

we all know wtf a drift is. we don't need you to show us.damn some of us practice. i didn't say it was the best drift in the f***n world. i said its tite cuz it's a fwd *** drag. i have a lot of option videos and i don't need a RICER to show me what a drift looks like.

I did not get the mx-6, my parents did for me, as a first car. I found a 240 for sale in my area after searching for months. So I cold my mx-6 and bought the 240, *****

Doesn't matter what you say, I think that it is not drifting, no chaning that...

followed the bandwagon...

Whoever said that drifting is a faster way around the corner has no idea what the hell they are talking about, and should go back to playing Gran Tourismo.
