well, im a ase certified master mechanic, and let me tell you, nothing gets by me, and i've had my first in 6 years. i own a 88 200sx with a vg30e and a 5spd. I 've driven this car everyday for 4 years, and now i went to start it this morning, and it was a no go. Cause of no start- NO INJECTOR PULSE. So i begin with the basics, got fuel pressure yes, 48lbs, so we check spark, yup, in line spark tester reveals spark, (also runs on ether). So i proceeded to replace the distributor and pcm in the thing, i own an 87 also, so i used the parts out of that one to get it to run, NO GO! still no pulse. I checked for power at ecm, inspetion lamps active, checked for continuity in injector wirning, were good, no broken wires. So i dig in further, the 2.2k ohm resistor by the soil was corroded and disconnected, so to radio shack we went, got some resistors and soldered it back in. Still no start. My next Suspect is the coil and or the transistor next to it, covered in salt, but before i take that nasty thing out, Maybe someone here knows more about these demons then i do. Can anyone help me? Will-

1988 200sx n\a 5spd 217k1987 200sx TURBO V6 131k 13psi 346bhp dynoed in june, stole parts to start 88, Bought car for 2700, In Perfect Shape! And built her myself.

Nissan 280zx, orig engine had 390 on it, pulled and made lawn orniment, Intstalled a 1967 oldsmobile rocket 350, 310 hp from factory, put cam and intake on it, striped car and now she runs 12.3 with street tires 245/60/15 wana c her go?, Great Lakes Drag Away in Wisconsin, when it opens in 09, i got hoosier dag slicks for the back of it, got do body mods, but we'll see what she runs in spring. Shes my baby, lets race!!!

Have you tried replacing the ECU?

sounds like you are just throwing parts at it instead of trackign downt he problem

you started tracking but then stopped for some reason...

so you've determined that you are nto getting fuel for some reason, now lets figure out why, pummp works beacuse you said you are getting fuel pressure, are you getting power to the injectors? assuming you have power at the coils as this is not normalls the side with the issues, are you getting trigger signal? being a tech I assume you have a snap on logic probe or test noids or sme similar means of checking for the square wave trigger signal

you tried swappign the distributor form your other car that was working? the optical distributor has signals outputs, a 60 degree signal and a 1 degree signal, are they bth workimg? the most likely points fo failure would be the ecu or the distributor, could also be the poewer source or the injector relay

i did check for trigger with nnoid light, none, checked injector wiring have continuity throughtout. i believe the fuel injector relay is in the driver front by the coil correct, alldata dont show me where it is and i dont have fsm for this car yet

not sure where ti would be in the S12, you might want to ask in that section, on the Z's it's located near the battery, on the inner finder agaisnt the firewall on the passanger side, nowhere near the coil, maybe the S12 is radically different

so you tested with noids, but do you have voltage at the injectors?

you have all data, but not nissan fast? and I'm suprised alldata doesn't have an electronic component locator in it
