Just did a fresh engine swap on my 88 . Still a vg but shes rebuilt. Got everything buttoned up and I deleted my egr and the vacuum lines on the driverside wheel well. When I start her up its fine and idles at 800 . I step on the gas and it feels fine when i'm going slow but it stutters above 3000 rpm and has a hard time getting up to speed. Maybe I need to do my timing? Whats everyone elses timing at? I.did mine by t he book. Need help please

If memory serves stock timing is 18 btdc, might want to verify that, but I don't think thats your problem. RPM based hesitation is usually either a fuel issue which at 3krpm I doubt or a MAF issue. The good news is it's usually as simple as a loose connection or a little water, I'd unplug the maf, as well as the tps and spray buth sides with contact cleaner then make sure you get them plugged in good and tight and see if it improves.
