I didnt know where to post this but i was hoping someone could help me out....there is this rx7 for sale down my block...brand new turbo 2 motor droped in it and it runs fine until it all of a sudden cuts out....kid says it might be an electrical problem from when they put the motor in.....what do u suggest to do to fix it?? i can buy it for a grand.....should i just get a whole new wiring harness and ECU put in?? or have a shop look at it and determine whats wrong?? or does anyone know what could be causing this????any help is appreciated

sounds like something could be wrong with the alternator. After it cuts out, is it hard to start?

Idk...i just talked to the guy on theh phone....he said it also runs a little rough....he said the guy that put the new motor in wasnt that great with wiring...so im thinkin it might be a wiring problem....i really want that car but i dont want to have to deal with some stupid electrical problems...do u know of any rotary shops ni the WI area??

I think you need to see the failure yourself and then try to describe what it does. It would definitly be better that way. Based on what you did post it sounds like an electronic device is cutting out.

I decided not to even look at it.....ill stick with my nissans....alot easier to figure out....

I tell you though ,if you would of got it and it ran right, they are a kick in the pants to drive.

Yeah, ive driven stock turbo 2's before and love the feeling...i just wouldnt like the feeling of know that if something broke on the car, i would have no clue how to fix it
