Hi all,
Is there any motor that i can easily swap into the 87 d21 3.0 v-6? I am having quite the hard time finding this motor anywhere. Any help is appreciated.

your wanting to swap the vg30 into your truck? or you want to put another engine in it.

right now it has the 3.0 v6 and it has had many problems. doesnt stay running. i have put over $600 into trying to diagnose the problem with no success. It started to run last winter after swapping in new injectors but now im back to not running consistantly and coolant pushes up through the temperature sensor. weird. so i wanted to either find a new stock motor or put one in that possibly doesnt involve major work.

well if you do a swap you absolutely have to have the wiring harness and ecu to go with then engine. im swaping a cyl head and intake mani off a 240sx ka to my truck ka and i have to use the wiring harness and ecu for that. so just keep that in mind if you go for a swap. what i would do if i were you is pull the current motor you have and take it apart see what shape its in.
