I apologize if this topic has already been posted, but I was wondering if someone could give me some solid advise. I own a 1987 Nissan Hardbody SE Kingcab 3.0L V6. I was told that at the time it was considered the top of the line truck that Nissan made. It has almost 200,000 and is in incredible condition. I believe its engine is called the VG30i. Everything is stock, nothing aftermarket, and I am looking to get better performance out of it.

My question is: Are there any upgrades I can perform to the engine to get more power of it? If so, where can I find them?

Thanks,J.D.

Basic upgrades are cold air intake and exhaust. but to get real power i am sorry but the money is high for basic improvements. it is a truck not a sports car. it is cheaper to buy a motorcycle for speed and use the truck for what it is, dependable and solid. Try to make a hot rod and you lose what it is and spend a lot of money to get there.

I'm thinking about purchasing a truck like this too. How's the reliability and what parts usually need to be fixed/replaced?
