87 49 state 300ZX with a california engine computer

87 300zx, parked in water, when the engine computer was removed, it was full of corrosion, tried cleaning it, but car barely ran, billowed black smoke, and the exhaust got red hot. the car is in CA, but it's a 49 state care, pulled the air flow plug, and it started and idled but wouldn't rev. Went to the boneyard, but all I could find was an 87 CA car, pulled the computer from it, installed it, car runs and drives fine, but what long term consequences are there?

i dont think it will be a problem. if there are any differences then your non-ca wiring harness prob does not even have a wire for the different circuit. i dont think the calibration will be too different.
