I don't do much freeway driving, but last night I drove on the freeway for about 10 miles (1 way), on my way back I felt my consol and the center consol was really really hot. It's an auto transmission and it has 189k miles...is this normal or does something need to be done?

Also my car is extremely slow from 0-35, is there anything I can do to have better acceleration for cheap? I don't really want my Z anymore, I'm gonna be selling it as soon as I find a 240 or Z32 I want, I just want it to be running better when I do go to sell it.

Thanks!

the trans is gonna get hot but the question is how hot is it? you didn't specify auto or manual but the auto has a trans cooler and should run cooler, if it's an auto I'd start by fluching the fluid, replace the filter and flush or replace the trans cooler ( I think it's actually part of the radiator but you can still replace ti with an external unit for better cooling), if however it's a manual, you might consider draining and refilling the fluid to see if it helps

It's an auto transmission

I just changed the transmission fluid a year ago almost to this day.

I'll look more into the transmission cooler, though, thanks!
