I JUST BOUGHT AND AN OLD BYPASS HOSE EXPLODED AND WET ALL THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS ON THE DRIVER SIDE....

I HAVE DRIED, REPLACED, AND RECONNECTED ALL WORN OR DAMMAGED PARTS INCLUDING THE COIL AND THE DISTRIBUTOR BUT THE CAR STILL WONT START.

THE COILS IS FINALLY SPARKING CRAZY WHICH IS GOOD BUT THE DISTRIBUTOR IS NOT DOING MUCH AND I JUST REPLACED ALL THE WET AND OLD PARTS.

I HAVE A FEW IDEAS OF WHAT IT COULD BE.....

IT COULD BE THE disconnected FUEL REGULATOR IT COULD BE A BAD RELAYOR IT COULD BE SOME KIND OF SECURITY FEATURE THAT WONT LET IT START

I HAVE SEEN ONLINE THAT OTHER HAVE HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEMS BUT THE SOLUTIONS THEY GAVE ME DIDNT DO MUCH!!!

ITS BEEN ABOUT A MONTH SO ANY HELP IS GOOD!!!

first things first, Caps off, it's considdered yelling and will get you the wrong kinda of attention in a hurry

the wire going to the fuel pressure regulator is just a temp sensor, not a a big deal

you said the distributor isn't doing much? is it not turing? did ytou take it out? did you get it back in right?

you only need 3 things, speark fuel and compression, si the fuel pump coing on? are are the injectors clicking when the engine is cranking? spark? are you getting spark at the spark plugs? pull a couple and find out, then comes compression, simple compression test

Um.. Check your..Fuses.. Same thing happened to me and my 86 Z.. It was just the fuse from the box by your feet on the drivers side... And if you checked that.. Do as stated above..

i'd check the fusible links in the little box near the battery. All of my starting problems have started there... if one of the links is burnt, that usualy means something is shorted, so you need to fix that before replacing the link, other wise you will just burn up links left and right... and they are not that easy to come by anymore.

also wanted to note, that if it was the security system keeping the car from starting, then it would disable the starter completly, so your engine wouldn't even crank over. if you ever suspect its the security system you can pull the security fuse from the drivers side footwell kickpanel fuse box to see if it really is the problem.
