turboing the standard VG has been looked into before. As far as I understand, all you really need is a custom tubular turbo manifold so that the turbo won't hit anything. There's not a lot of room.
ANyways, to answer the question. It should be the same. I just did a ca18et to ca18det and I'm using the S12 p/s resevoir and everything. The only thing I had to change was I switched the the DET engine mounts for the ET mounts. Don't know if you need to do the same for the VG, I don't know what those mounts look like.
