Hey guys new to this truck just bought it a couple days ago for $340 none running. Figured out it need a fpr and the timing was a little off. Replaced the FPR and messed with the timing the truck fired right up. As soon as I went to drive the truck the thing just bogged down and stalled out. I messed with the timing a little bit more advancing it and the truck fired right back up. The problem I have been dealing with now is that because the timing is so advanced it idles too high (1500) and when you go to shut the truck off it still wants to run and shuts down much like a diesel. I have tried messing with the timing a little bit in the past few days but every time I get it timed so it idles right the drug is stutters and bucks when you try and drive it. As it sits right now I have it set in between where is should idle and high idle and it is driveable but it still stutters from a stop and does not do hills with out me babying it. Oh also when the truck is at the ideal idle 800 rpm it misfires . The truck as new wires and new coils ( although the one of them looks pretty beat up) and the spark plugs looked pretty new too. I'm thinking its possible the wires could be plugged in to the CPS wrong and will check that today and maybe something to do with a clogged fuel filter, but not sure.. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
