Does anyone know the voltage level sent from the Crank angle sensor in this distributor to the computer. I am trying to see if i can directly hook my stock distributor to a MSD 6 controller. I understand i have to change how often the sensor triggers the box, because the old sensor sends 360 "clicks" to the computer and the MSD box wants 6 "clicks".

So please anyone who knows the voltage signal sent from CAS to computer please let me know. Thanks

I'm gonna move this over to the Truck forum. I can't seem to find the spec with the resources I have at home.

It doesn't send any voltage back, just a pulse and a very minute one at that, hence why the wire itself is shielded. Theres a 360 count refference wheel on the outside used to determine advancement/retardment but the actual firing of the plugs/injectors is done via the 6 windows on the smaller part of the wheel, aka the six clicks you refer too.

IMO anything made by MSD is a waste of money and time unless it actually increases the spark energy of the already impressive nissan ignition system. Plus the MSD boxes burn out more than points on an old chevy v8. peace.

Ah yes, inductive coil. Makes sense.
