I did a quick search didn't find an an answer to my question. If I machine the block on my sr engine to accomodate forged 86.5mm pistons there will be no problems running high boost right? Or will I need to use sleeves? Just asking because the machine shop is not sure about how strong the block will be after machining it to fit these pistons.

an extra .5 should not be a problem. u wont need to get the block sleeved for that.

86.5 shouldn't be a problem. anything over that and you should consider sleeving it. and the higher boost, it should be no problem, maybe invest in a nice 1.1mm apex headgasket or even a 1.5 if you want to lower the compression some more for a higher boost application.

no problem at all. 87mm is a bit of a stretch and should be sleeved. past that, sleeve it.
