I see what you're getting at now.

I have yet to find a performance head gasket in 86-86.5mm bore. They usually design them around 87mm bores.

Yes, i am in the middle of building my sr20 pretty strong with cp pistons, eagle rods, acl race bearings, 264 cams, springs & titanuim retainders, and all i need is a good headgasket, the motor is actually at the machine shop right now, and if i woulda known this i would bored it to 87mm, although i really dont wanna bore it that far... What should i do?? ANYONE no where i can find a good 86.5mm headgasket? Perferably apexi??

You can run a headgasket with a slightly larger bore. I'm running an 87mm bored gasket on an 86.5mm cylinder bore with no issues.

The stock gasket doesn't come all the way to the cylinder bore edge either.

I think I got the 87mm x 1.5mm cosworth head gasket on my stock 86mm bore. Is that ok?

I had the same feeling when I was putting my block together. My friend, who has been a mechanic for over 35 years, told me it would be perfectly fine.

stock T25 right now at 12 psi. I haven't had it on a dyno since the rebuild, so I can't tell you specifically what power it's pushing

Plus it should be upgraded to an S15 T28 and supporting fuel mods within a month.

I haven't finished my build yet, but I went with a GReddy 87mm x 1.8mm.
