This is a continuation of my previous post on AC dryer replacement. But I thought I'd refresh the post as the topic has changed.

history:
• AC stops working - find leak in dryer
• replace dryer
• decide to simply switch to R-134a
• hood sticker calls fo 6.8 oz lubricant and 2.0-2.4 lbs coolant
• inject 4 oz R-134a Ester 100 oil charg
• inject 16 oz R-134a coolant
• AC blows cool if not cold
• 24 hours later - no cold AC does not "click" on
• inject another 16 oz R-134a coolant
• AC blows cool if not cold
• 24 hour later no cold AD does not "click on.
• cannot find any sign of leak (yet)

Advice, recommendations and shared experience appreciated.

You can try the 134 with leak stop, if it is small leak it may work, a friend did it on his chevy and 1 yr later he is still blowing cold air, worth a shot. If not then get the dye and pump in and look for the leak.
