The manual trans actually uses the same non red gear oil as the diff, however the power steering uses dextron automatic trans fluid which is red in color. Most power steering leaks on these cars come form the rack itself and are due to boneheads using regular power steering fluid which is too thin and can actually make a leak worse. Could also be a leaking power steering fluid line, the return hose fomr the resivior to the pump tends to get soft with age, otherwise the copper washers at the pump housing on the pressure hoses tend to seep a bit with age, the fittings at the rack don't tend to be a problem short of the rack itself leaking. purging the power steering fluid and refilling with correct atf perhaps a bit of trans stop leak tends to stop the leaks at the rack itself.
