86 300zx Headlights sometimes work.

The headlights on my 300zx seem to have a mind of their own. They will randomly work and randomly won't. Sometimes both my brights will work, sometimes one of them, sometimes neither. Same for my regular headlights. Sometimes they all work, sometimes one, sometimes neither. Any idea what the problem is?

I suspect the headlight swithc, they are known to flake out after 20 years or so

That is the switch, that happened to my 84' 12 years ago. You unfortunatley have to replace that entire stalk, should still be available from Nissan, don't waste you time with a Junk Yard, you'll end up with the same issue, get a new one.

I think there is a recall on the head lights.
